My Top Nine Board Games

My Top Nine Board Games Recently, I saw a post on Instagram #mytop9boardgames. It was a hard decision, but i finally figured out what my top games were. Read on to find out what made the list.  In no particular order: Tzolk'in, Terra Mystica, Caverna, Scythe, Takenoko, Lords of Waterdeep, Ascension, Mystic Vale and Goa. Tzolkin: The Mayan Calendar Czech Games Edition This is a worker placement game that is very high on my favorite list. If I had to choose, this might be my current favorite game. The board is incredible. There are massive gears that you put together like a puzzle to construct the complete board. Gamers that have the patience to paint their boards astound me. The intricacies on that board are insane. On your turn you can either place a worker, or take one off. There are temple tracks, technology tracks, monuments and buildings that you are vying and racing toward. Each different component adds an infinite replay-ability to the game. The game only lasts...

Binge Watch Check-In

What I'm Watching: I've been a little bit obsessed with my Amazon prime video account lately. I've recently stumbled across 3 new to me binge worthy shows. Read on to see what I think of Sneaky Pete, Absentia and Britannia. Sneaky Pete (Seasons 1 & 2 available on Prime Video) I've always been a fan of Giovanni Ribisi. There is just something about his wild manic way that he attacks and chew scenery. Think back to him being Phoebe's younger brother Frank on Friends, he was fantastic.  Image Credit: Amazon Studios This wonderful show tells the tale of man named Marius Josipovic.  A con man whose cell mate in prison tells him tale after tale of his family, The Bowman's. Upon his release, Marius can't go home, so he assumes the life of his cell mate Pete Bowman. Apparently, the family has no idea what Pete looks like as an adult so they immediately buy Marius' tale. This is a really interesting show and I highly advise all of you to watch...

Vistaprint Promo Box Unboxing - March 2018

Vistaprint Promo Box $24.99 / month + shipping Once again My Subscription Addiction has pointed me toward an amazing new service. Over at Revisiting Sunnydale, we've been thinking about getting logo items recently. This promo box came along at the perfect time. For around $27 dollars a month after tax, you receive a box of goodies with your chosen logo. The first month we got a t-shirt, stickers, note cards and ball point pens. I loved that box. It was amazing. I wore the t-shirt to Wizard World Cleveland. If you were there, I hope you saw me! I was so excited to see what the next month would bring. When the box arrived, I knew right away there had to be something amazing inside. The box was a long rectangular shape. My heart skipped a beat and I dared to dream that I would find a vinyl banner inside. I had seen the banner on the vistaprint website and consider getting us one for panels at conventions. How it works: When you join, you get the opportunity to upload y...
