September Allure Beauty Box Unboxing

Picture
This months box is a curated box of Allure Best of Beauty favorites. Some things I liked. Some things are not going to work for me AT ALL. In general, the Allure box is usually a winner, this month, not so much.

They include a mini-magazine each month that gives you specifics about the products and how to use them, its probably one of my favorite things about the box.

Micro Beauty Blender

Seriously, its so small I’m afraid to use it. It makes me feel like I have giant fingers. I will use it, but I didn’t bring it on vacation because the size is just so small. It really is difficult for me to even hold it. I should be excited about its inclusion in the box, but I’m jut left wishing they had included a full size one.

Lala Retro Whipped Cream

This smells good. Not too strong. It has a nice silky formula. I have so many of these creams that I don’t know which I will actually try first, so I am just gonna have to add this to the pile.

Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast

Picture
Oh yeah, look ANOTHER dry shampoo. But wait, this one at least Volumizing you say... I don’t want volume. I want my hair to be silky and straight. I don’t need volume. Living Proof thought you say? Big Whoop if its a product I’m not going use.

In all seriousness, great brand selection, but I am giving this to my sister. I don’t care for dry shampoos and I already have a ton! I would have liked anything else from Living Proof, but I will say it was a nice size sample.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush

I was so excited to see a full size Tarte product in my box this month. Then I put it on my skin. Do you see it in the photo above. NO! NEITHER DO I! I swatched it really heavy and nothing, it just doesn’t show up on my skin. I am so disappointed.

The product is nice, it has a little glitter glow to it, but I won’t use it all. So one of my friends or my sister is about to be a very happy camper.

Kiel’s Midnight Recovery Eye

Picture
A Kiehl’s product. My heart soars. I really like Kiehl’s. Sure this is a tiny sample, but the full size is $37, so I will make the most of my little sample.

This is a restorative cream for around your eye area. I do have a few other products that do similar things - all samples that I’ve gotten, so we shall see where this one falls in the pack.

Final Thoughts...

I think this box is kind of a miss for me. The only things I am excited to try is the cream and Kiehl’s. The Tarte was too light for me. The dry shampoo a swing and a miss. All in all, I’d give this box a 5 out of 10 if I had a scale. It had good size products and good brands, just not products catered to me. Oh well, there is always next month!
