The Collector's Case: Vampires and Bunnies Unboxing

Collector's Case is a new monthly subscription service that I found through My Subscription Addiction. It is a monthly geek box that includes an amazing amount of geeky items, plus the chance at an autograph. You can also secure the "Sure Thing" and make sure you receive the autograph for that month.

That's what I decided to do and go for the autograph.  This month's theme was Vampires and Bunnies.  The autograph was Emma Caulfield aka Anya Emanuell Christina Jenkins from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  As you might have gathered from my podcasts and my life in general, I'm HUGE fan of BtVS.  My chances of meeting Emma are slim and she was a missing piece of my Buffy wall. I can't wait frame the autograph and add it.

This box ships out of Canada, arrived via UPS and I actually had to sign for it.

Signed Emma Caulfield 8x10 Photo

This is the whole reason I ordered the Sure Thing version of the Vampires & Bunnies box. I have not had, and don’t foresee the opportunity to meet Emma Caulfield IRL. I have a Buffy Wall in my game room that has all the autographs I’ve collected and photos with the cast. For those that I don’t think I’ll ever meet (Dru, Warren, Fred (Angel), Anya) I will purchase the Autograph from a Convention or Subscription Box. This is a great season 6 artwork. It will match the one I got from Nicholas Brendon. There is a certificate of authenticity in the sleeve. VERY happy with this.

DC Comics Bombshells - Harley Quinn

My box arrived a little dented, so I'll probably take her out of the box.  Look how GORGEOUS she is.  I am not going to start collecting these, but I do have a soft spot in my heart for Harley Quinn.  I have a few figures of her around the house and some art work.  She will look great on the liquor cabinet next to my other figure.  When I take pictures I'll post them here as an update.  The detail and paint work on this is amazing.  I can't get over how cute she is.   You may wonder what she has to do with Vampires and Bunnies, I did too.  The case file mentioned that Harley always wanted to be a vampire.  OK, that works for me. Looks like this was just a wonderful bonus addition to the box.  I wanted one of these at Tampa MegaCon last year but it was too expensive.  Good thing I waited. 

Dark Horse Buffy Autumnal

This is a nice addition. I love the Buffy comics, so I’m sure I will love this Autumnal. If I had one complaint, it would be the cover. I wish it had comic art as the cover rather than the season 5 promo art of Buffy.

Neca Twilight Bag Clip Charm

I am not gonna lie, if this were about 8 years ago I would have been PSYCHED to get this Team Edward bag clip. I was SOOOO Team Edward. I don’t care, I was/am a Twilight Fan. I see it for what it is. I know its not cinematic brilliance, or literary genius, but I was entertained. That’s all the really matters. I won’t however use this today. If it were a Team Spike, it’d be on my bag right now. Times change and loves change.

Funko Dorbz - Donnie Darko Frank

I normall don’t like the Funko Dorbz line. Nothing against them, I just don’t have room in my heart for two figure lines. I am already in a committed relationship with the Funko proper line and I have Titan Vinyl as my side piece. I can’t with the Dorbz. I just can’t. However, Frank, will find a place in my home. Look at the detail on this guy. He will come out of the box and sit on my desk or game room.

Titan Buffy Vinyl Figures

These little mystery boxes are a blessing and a curse. In this box, you get two figures. Or at least you should. Sometimes you get two of the same, like I did. I opened the first one and said - oooh Vampire Buffy. My sister opened the second one and she said - no way! I look and its Vampire Buffy. Oh well. 

Cryptozoic Vampire Diaries Trading Cards

This is pretty cool.  I was a fan of the show, so it was really neat to get one of the wardrobe cards.  I got a card that has a piece of screen worn fabric from the Tyler Lockwood character.  That's pretty neat in a trading card. 

Vampires & Bunnies T-Shirt

This T-Shirt is hilarious.  Its a simple graphic, but the Bunny with blood fangs made me chuckle more than once.  As you know if you have read my previous posts on Smuggler's Bounty and Geek Fuel, know that I like my shirts a little bigger.  However, this shirt is huge!  I think if I order the box again, might be time for a 1x.   Oh and that's my little man Baxter in the background.

Will I Continue to Subscribe?

Hmmm. That is a tough call.  I LOVED this box!  However, I've seen the themes for September and October and I'm not interested.  September’s autograph was Jason Mewes from Jay & Silent Bob and I’m not definitely not interested in that. The October theme has a signed Josh McDermitt photo. I have opted to not get his autograph, he’s come to Pittsburgh a few times and I treasure the below photos I got with him more than his particular autograph.
