I really like this month’s bag. It is Halloween themed. The little tiny bat on the zipper is just precious. The maroon lace detailing on the bag is a huge step up from last years Halloween disaster of a bag. Well done Ipsy. Well done.

Pretty Woman Nail Polish - Wine with Ice, Garçon

I love getting nail polish! It’s one of my favorite items to receive. I’ve gotten polish from this brand, Pretty Woman before. This color is a deep red wine color. It is beautiful. Perfect for vampy Halloween time. It went on smooth, and only took a few coats.

Score: 10/10. This is a home run for me. The size, the color. I love it.

Meech and Mia Loose Eyeshadow in Purple

You can never have too many eyeshadows right? I am hoping that is the case because I have sooooo many! This loose eyeshadow is a great sample size and the pigmentation to the color is gorgeous. I can’t wait to add this to my collection.

I know, this one looks like a gunmetal gray, but when you put it on it becomes a gorgeous purple color.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Oh the smell of this. I’m in love! This cream is super soft and it feels great on the skin. I have so many lotions that I don’t know what to do with all of them, but I will try this as soon as possible because of how good it smells.

It claims to be cellulite-reducing and also skin-tightening, so we shall see. That would be nice, but I rarely believe claims like that.

Score: 8/10 - The smell, damn. I mean really. This stuff smells amazing!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil - Peversion

One of my favorite brands on the market these days, particularly their eyeshadshadows. The Naked Heat and Metallics collections are my current faves. I was delighted to see an eyeliner, but disappointed to see it was a pencil. I have a hard enough time with eyeliner, I really am terrible at using pencils. I need a gel eyeliner.

I have not used this yet, as I really don’t like pencils. However, my sister used it and it irritated her eyes, so I’m not sure i want to use it.

My main point of disappointment was the fact that the included marketing materials showed you the literal rainbow of colors that are available and we are given the black. Booo. Boring.

Score: 4/10. Mostly for not given us a different color.

IT Cosmetics - Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder

I also love IT Cosmetics. One thing I would love is to own a few of their brushes. This beautiful little compact is a finishing powder. Since I’m an latecomer to makeup, finishing powders are a branch of the tree that I’m must unfamiliar with how to use.

I have a few different kinds, but I don’t really know what to use it for and how much. This one will be no exception to that rule. It is really soft and looks like it would feel amazing.

An interesting thing about this product is that you can wear it alone. I never thought of just wearing powder on my face, but maybe I’ll give it a try.

Score: 6/10. I don’t use powders, but this feels really nice, so I’ll give it a try.

Final thoughts...

This was a fairly decent month for ipsy. The bag is lovely. The products were all a decent size. Many will join the ranks of my travel kit.

Score - 8/10

Until next time...
