September Geek Fuel Unboxing

Information Card

Each month Geek Fuel has an information card detailing the items in the box.  Sometimes that is great, sometimes makes you real jealous of the item you didn't receive.  Meat Wad!!!!!

Geek Fuel Magazine

This month's magazine had a great section on items every Geek needs to own.  I need like 5 of the items listed.  It also has a great section on the new Blade Runner coming in October and on my literary obsession, Stephen King.  The back of the book also included a great tribute to Tobe Hooper, I had no idea he died.  He was responsible for Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Poltergeist.  RIP Tobe Hooper.  Horror fans have taken in on the chin lately.  First George Romero and now Tobe Hooper.  2017 has taken some great folks from our lives.  RIP to all of those we have lost this year.  Shot glasses high in the air for Bill Paxton!

Steam Game - Warden

If you read my unboxings you know I don't care at all about the Steam Games.  I know they are available on my iPad as well as PC, I am just not into them.  This one has a whopping $20 value, so to honor that, leave a comment below with your favorite game to play and the winner will receive the code for this game!

Super Soft Shell Plushie

When I saw the spoilers for this box online, I was very disappointed.  This item was one of the reasons why.  However, it is way bigger than I thought - and my dog kinda likes it.  Look how cute and happy he looks with it.  The spikes made him a little perplexed, but he got over it.  Its a little big for him, he grew tired of it pretty quickly - but it might make for an adorable pillow for him.

Geek Fuel Exclusive Enamel Pin - Dexter's Laboratory

This is the item that I was most disappointed with.  I wish I wanted Meat Wad from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.  I won't put Dexter on anything.  I never really connected to this show.  You had the option of receiving a few different pins.  They have upped their game on these pins, the packaging keeps getting better and better.  I don't use them - they are taking up space, so I might start giving them out as prizes at Panels, or on the podcasts, or even here.  If someone got Meat Wad and wants to trade for Dexter, leave me a comment down below and we can make that happen!

Bat-Manga T-Shirt

One thing I do LOVE about the Geek Fuel subscription is that you get a shirt every month.  I have so many shirts, but what I appreciate about the Geek Fuel shirts, they are all original and don't have messaging on them that say Geek Fuel.  That always bugged me with the Loot Crate and Comic Con Box shirts - you had their branding all over you.  Geek Fuel, it might show up on the tag inside, but I don't recall ever seeing it on the front of the shirt.  I appreciate that. This month is a beautiful Manga style batman shirt.  Love the colors.  Love Batman!  Love love love everything about this.  We'll see how it fits, it looks a little big, but as I've said, I like a bigger shirt.

Mega Construx by Kubros:  Picard

The last item in the box is a Mega Construx Kubros.  I got Picard.  I love Jean-Luc!  TNG is my favorite of all the Star Trek's, so I'm really excited that I got this one.  The other choices were okay, but this one is the least terrifying, other than Bender, that one is adorable.  The Red Ranger is okay.  All of the others are just plain terrifying. How is that supposed to be Ellen Ripley?  Peter Griffin looks like a Picasso.  It was sooo many pieces!  It took about an hour to put it together and I destroyed about three nails.  I kept putting pieces together upside.  I also had 2 pieces left over at the end - I think they are extra.  All in all - these dude is creepy AF!  He will sit on my shelf or I'll give him away - not sure yet.

Final thoughts?

I don't know how many more chances I can give Geek Fuel.  I love them so much, but the last few months just haven't been for me.  I need better franchises.  I need more content.  The box value is supposed to be $50 a box, I don't see $50 in this box.  I will see what the spoilers are figure out if our relationship will continue or if we need a break.
