Episode 9 | Avengers: Infinity War
Available on: iHeart Radio, iTunes and more.
Host: G.W. Pomichter and Christian Basel
I am very familiar with Christian Basel and the traveling Tardis. I met him a few years ago at MegaCon, my favorite con of all and have been following him on social media for a while. This will be my first time reviewing a podcast. The show reached out and asked if I would do a review and I am thrilled to be providing one for them.

First, let me begin by saying, I am your target audience. I love the content of the show and I decided to start with the episode on Avengers: Infinity War. Having already viewed the emotional gut-punch that is IW, I knew I wasn't ready to write my own review of the film, but I would love to listen to other people talk about it.
To my surprise, they had not seen the movie yet. This was a round-table sort of discussion about what they expected from the movie. I had so much fun listening to their theories about a movie. Some were way way off base, ha ha.
G.W. you have a 100 inch screen! SMH - WHAT! I am jealous! I can only imagine how amazing it must be to watch things in your house. Since listening to the show, I've seen Deadpool 2 and I'm sorry Christian, I did not love it. I know you are a huge Deadpool fan, that was one major point of this podcast about Avengers. I am totally hyped on one point you mention about what the merger between Fox and Marvel will bring to the Deadpool universe. The quips and jokes in the sequel make me think we'll see him in a future Avenger's movie.
The MCU is a vast 10-year spanning universe, it takes everything in my soul to keep up, so I totally get Christian being behind. However, get on Black Panther, like now. Go. Stop whatever you are doing right now and go buy Black Panther. Don't rent it and then realize how amazing it was and have to go buy it anyway. Just buy it. Trust me. It is that good. If you have not caught up with the MCU, some of the events in Infinity War will be confusing. Should you go just for Chris Evans' beard? (hint: the answer is always yes!).
I really enjoyed the segment on favorite MCU movies. Mine, if I had to pick a favorite would either be Black Panther or Ragnarok, I truly can't pick just one. They were both amazing. One of the guests picked Iron Man 3 and no judgement (but secret full-on judgment), IRON MAN 3. Really. That is one of my least favorite of the movies. Thor 2 gets that mantle, but IM3 close really close. Ugh. The Mandarin. What a waste. Okay, I digress and my temperature is starting rise.
The topic about Thanos being a great villain, really stood out to me as well. I agree 100 percent. When you look at the plan, he's not wrong. He is just trying to save the Universe. His methods leave a lot to be desired.
I really enjoyed this show. There were some technical issues that I'm hoping are not a running issue. We've had the same kind of issues on our shows, so I get it. They were small issues as well, some panelists were harder to hear as they were either calling in or not close enough to their mic/speaker. I felt that the cast was knowledgeable and I applaud the nod to Chris Evans' and his muscles. How that helicopter scene in Winter Solider should be the desktop to my cell phone!
I found this little gem on YouTube about that scene:
If you are looking for a great new show to listen to, give Hangin with Web Show Radio Hour a chance. I'm sure you'll devour all 13 episodes they have available. Listening to this show made me wonder why I don't listen to podcasts more. I enjoy shouting at my device... I AGREE. ARE YOU CRAZY. What do you mean you haven't seen Black Panther yet!?!?! I got all of that with this great show.
I'm looking forward to the episode on Spoilers.
I'll leave you with this. I really want G.W. Pomichter to write a series of crime novels starring himself as the main detective. lol. Love the name. So fantastic.
