Yes, Oh Yas! Makeup & Beauty Subscription
14.99/month
3-7 Full-Sized Beauty Products
Save 10% Off First Month Here
This is a new subscription service that I found on Instagram. They deliver a value of $75 a month of new makeup and beauty brands. They aren't kidding when they say that. LA Ritzy is the only brand in the bunch that I have heard of before this.
These are full size products and some of them are amazing. There is an amazing added benefit. If you make it a year with them, you gt a free limited edition box worth $200-$400.! Yas, Oh Yas indeed!
I will start of by saying, I LURVED this assortment. I really did. However, I do have a few gripes. First, in looking at Instagram, apparently everyone else received an adorable art decco print of Miami. I did not. Second, there is no collateral in the bag at all. Nothing to tell me what the products are, or what I should do with them. That is kind of a disappointment for me. I'm a beauty newbie and I enjoy hearing little factoids about what it is that I'm getting each month. Third, I am not a fan of using the same shipping package as Ipsy. My sister brought it into to me and said, you got another Ipsy. I was confused and then realized it was this - from the sticker on the bag. I ripped it open and found that there was no bag, no box, no ads, just 5 full-sized products within the package. Okay. Cool. Let's break down the May box.
Sorme Smearproof Eyeliner in Charcoal - $13.00
If you have read other reviews of mine, you know I don't like an eyeliner pencil. I fear that I will stick myself in the eye and they are always dry and tug on my eyelid. I have very sensitive eyes that will water anytime you put anything near them. I need gel eyeliners. Caveat to that statement, this pencil glides on easily and is a pretty color. It claims to be smear proof, but that's not entirely true.
Score: 3/5.
It can go in the travel bag. It won't be a home staple though.
Nomad Eyeshadow in Cohiba - $12.00
OMG the color on this. I am shook for sure! This beautiful coppery shimmer shade is so rich and creamy. I am seriously living for this shadow. I've worn it out twice already.
The color is supposed to be reminiscent of the cigars that Castro loved. Not sure how I feel about that, but I'll put it out of my mind.
Score: 5/5
I love this. If you couldn't guess. This is a new favorite and I imagine every little drop will be used.
Estate Dew Me Baked Highlight Powder - $10.00
Blinding! This highlighter makes my day. Its a pale purple color and its so soft and shimmer and pretty. What I really like about this company is that they make a product that won't break your wallet. It is ten bucks and it is gorgeous.
I can't wait to wear this out. I'm watching MUA's on-line and trying to learn the proper way to apply highlighter so that I don't look like a crazy person. I also can't guarantee that I won't use this as eyeshadow at some point. What a great spring/summer color. DEW ME! lol.
Score: 5/5
Great product, seemingly great company - can't wait to see more by them.
Cosmoholic by Giuliano Liquid Lipstick - $24.99

This is a an example of I would have loved some marketing materials. I have no idea what color this is. Its not on the packaging. I looked on their website and it looks like it is the Prudish Pink. I love that name. This color looks okay on me. It really just enhances the natural color of my lips. I love this hypo-allergenic formula. The light and mirror on the side is a real standout feature. It also smells like cake. I want eat it. lol.
La Ritzy Lip Pencil in Bare - $18.00
$18.00 really?!? It could be that I'm just not a fan of them, but this seems kind of pricey for what it is. The one product in the bunch that had heard of and its my least favorite in the group. I don't like lip liners. I don't see the need for them. This one I probably try once, look like a crazy person throw it in a drawer.
Score: 2/5 - its a decent formula but i just don't like lip liners.
Final Thoughts:
I loved it. Great box. Great products. I can't wait to see June. The spoilers on the IG page show a palette that I'm super excited to get. Looks like fake lashes, another product I don't use. I have long lashes and just don't see the need for falsies.
Again, my only complaint, if you are sending me new make-up brands to try, perhaps you should include some marketing material about them.
