Ipsy Glam Bag Review - August 2018

The beginning of the end... Pt. 2

My birthday has come and gone. The presents were fabulous and I got my Ipsy a few days after. Another treat. If you read my spoiler review, and of course you did, right? Anyway, if you read that, you know that I'm not happy with Ipsy anymore. The bags have been fine, but I've on overload with product right now and something has to give. 

I had decided to cancel my Allure subscription, but they offered me my next 4 boxes for 10 each! I will give them 4 more chances. The special Kat Von D box - is shit. More on that in another post. 

I've paused my Ipsy for a month. It has nothing to do with money, all about me hoarding the products and not using. Allure didn't offer the chance to pause, so they just got cancelled. I will see if I miss Ipsy in July. It auto-starts back up in August, so we'll see how this trial separation goes.

Let's take a closer look at what I got.

The Bag:

I mentioned in the spoiler review that I was not pleased with this back. I thought I would like this red one more. Well, my sister got the yellow one and its cuter. I hate this bag. The pink reminds me of Pepto. Ugh. #sad.

Sahi Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Dubai

The color on this shadow is amazing. I can't wait to try this out. I have a party coming up this weekend, maybe that's the time to try it out. Its a cream metallic foil shadow. It will probably work better as a topper to some of my other shadows or as a highlighter. It seems to apply quite light and gives a shimmer that I adore. Unlike most shadows I have - this one actually says on the box that it is best applied with your finger.

Delectable by Cake Beauty

It smells like cake! Lemon cake. Lemon pound cake. I want to eat my hands. that's not good. But it so is.  It does feel a bit tacky, but that could be because I had residue on my hands from a face peel I had just tried from my FabFitFun. Shea Butter, Orange, Tangerine and Grapefruit. Triple threat. I'm loving it. The smell. The size of the sample. This is a surprise winner. I'm more pleased than I thought I would be.

Jonteblu Felt Tip Eyeliner Pencil

Another yawn, eyeliner. As I said in the spoiler review, the tip is awesome. It glides on easy and doesn't appear to smudge. I just don't need another eyeliner in my life right now. I swear I get one in every box. I have no complaints other than not needing it.








Score: 3/5 - just lacks originality.

MAC Little Lipgloss in C-Thru or Nymphette

I got the Nymphette. Yes. This is so pretty. I love MAC products, but I couldn't find the name anywhere on it. I finally had to look at the IPSY site and realize mine was pink not the nude of the C-Thru. The Nymphette is a pretty shimmery pinky color. I'm very happy with this. It makes the limps look sexy and shimmery.

Formula 10.0.6 Three Times Sublime

Wow, the size of this sample is huge! I am really surprised. I don't know what I expected, but not this. I will try this out this weekend. I might make this my first product test blog entry. It says to apply 1-3 times a week, there is enough here to do that. Let's see how it goes.

Final Thoughts:
I'm a little more impressed with the bag than I thought I would be. This has everything to do with sample size. As you will see with the Allure box, it will get you the scores, if you send me good sizes.
