Allure Beauty Box Review - August 2018

Monthly beauty subscription service. Subscribers receive 5 beauty items per month (travel and full-size products). The box is $15/month and ships for free.

I've been really thinking about scaling back on the beauty products. I'm going to give the Allure box a few more months and then it will be time to go on a Ross / Rachel style break.

I was a little disappointed with this months box.  Not every box can be the amazing bounty that last month was. However, as you can see from the above pic, it wasn't a total loss.

Nexxus Keraphix Shampoo and Conditioner

I will always take shampoo and conditioner when it is a sample like this. Look at the size of these. These are travel sizes. These will truly allow you to gauge whether or not you want to buy the product.

This particular formula claims to damage heal your hair with Keratin protein and black rice. It smells amazing. These are going in my travel kit for sure.

Score: 5/5 Great size and the full size are affordable as well. The shampoo is around 12.99 and the conditioner 17.99.

LaRitzy Highlighter Stick in Halo

I can't properly explain how much I prefer a highlighter stick to any other highlighting product. The stick makes it so much easier to apply. This LaRitzy stick is gorgeous. The pearl gold color shimmers beautifully on my skin.

I can't wait to give this a try. Another wonderful addition to my travel kit.

Score: 5/5 - Full size is 24.99 - not bad. We'll see how it holds up to my scrutiny.

Caudalie Moisturizing Sorbet Cream

I always smile when I get a Caudalie product. Their packaging is always beautiful and the smell is always wonderful. This is no exception. It is only a .15ml sample, but I will use this until I can use it no more. lol.

This lightweight moisturizer really sinks into the skin. It does not leave a tacky residue like some creams tend to do. This left my face feeling nice and smooth.

Score: 4/5 Great formula and easy absorption.  Full-size is 39.00 - a little rich for my blood.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

A lip sleeping mask. I read that right, didn't I? This sleeping mask has a nice texture to it. It is smooth but not greasy. It also reminds me of lip balm I used to wear in the nineties.

I'm interested to see how this product works. I've never used an overnight lip mask.

Score: 4/5 - Interesting. Full-size is $20.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner

You know how I feel about the Eyeko liners. Imagine me, doing my dance. I'm dancing in my chair as I type this.

The entire Eyeko line is amazing. They apply smooth and bold, every time.

Score: 5/5 Another winner for me. I love Eyeko. Even though I have said I'm tired of getting eyeliners, Eyeko is my favorite, so send them my way any time! Full-size $22.

Final Thoughts

This box also includes a $30 off your next order at Breda. Breda is an online watch retailer. They have beautiful products, but at $30 off, I know I'm not going to be ordering anything any time soon.

Score: 4.0/5 - This was an okay box. I know that September is going to be filled with Sunday Riley products so I am kind of looking forward to that. We'll see.
